Doom_and_Dead Listening to List Do Borykan is like stepping into a stoner movie where four buddies heading to the corner store end up on a wild interstellar adventure. It’s a thrilling escapade centered around mind-bending riffs and deep friendships, with musical twists and turns I never saw coming. If you’re looking for a soundtrack to your psychedelic summer, then this is it.

Weirdo Shrine The Howling Eye explores space deeply, but keeps the journey light. It makes for a highly entertaining and versatile trip that interchanges the cerebral with the physical. If we ever colonise other planets together, I know a good soundtrack… Favorite track: Space Dwellers, Episode 1.

Lyrics: Here’s a little story for you This one is about me and the boys cruising around the frontiers of space So, we were on a mission from the Galactic Commision One of those days our ship ran out of fuel You know, no steeling wheel working, no electronics working, everything, everything’s down, bro That was shit So we’re just kind of, like, floating around, we’re all on our posts, kind of just sitting there You know, like, killing time Just fucking feeling miserable, really And suddenly, our ship is being pulled away by some unknown force, yo So we get off our asses, walk up to the window, like, yonder And then – BANG – a motherfucking planet! Just out of nowhere! And we’re like “Yoooo, what is happening, yo?” We can’t do anything about it so we might as well just try to land it, you know? That’s what we did So we enter the proximity of the fucking planet, we hear this weird music playing All around us, you know Like, “Yo dude, can you hear it? Yeah mate, I can hear it. Yo Johnny, can you hear it? Yeah boy, I can fucking hear it mate.” So we’re like “Okay, it’s not in our heads, it’s from the outside.” But from where? Mind you, we’re locked inside of a fucking tin, in the middle of fucking space, no electronics working, yo! Odd shit, for real Odd shit happens in space, yo, odd shit So, anyway, we landed the spaceship and then we started, you know, walking out in our spacesuits There are those, like, weird looking creatures, boy, like feathers on eyes on slime? And that was odd So we’re like “Ugh, okay, what to do?” And they open their kind of, like, mouth… holes? And nothing changes, yo, we’re like, you know, waiting for something – nothing changes But actually, then we realized the music has changed So we connect the dots We live on through jams and dance Express your soul while you have the chance Our hive mind within sonic waves Reaches out through time and space

Medival 03:35
Lyrics: Been born to life inside the grid My eyes can see through all the shit From inside of my spine Of my mind Of my kind Of my time, time, time Been born with wings for flying high But in cages we're locked inside From our sight From our kind In our minds In our time Closed to the world that's been open once wide Violentia Intolerantia Facismo Vanidad Consumismo Jebać cię, kapitalisto! Violentia Intolerantia Facismo Vanidad Consumismo Jebać cię, kapitalisto! Violentia Intolerantia Facismo Vanidad Consumismo Jebać cię, kapitalisto! Violentia Intolerantia Facismo Vanidad Consumismo Jebać cię, kapitalisto! Disconnect and dissociate yourself From the system that you were born into Rise up! Rise up, my brothers Rise up, my sisters Let's put our fists up!

Brothers 10:14
Lyrics: Bounded by waves Tightened with time Fluctuate Rise and fall Trough and crest Flood and drought Stick together Fall apart Go away And stay the same Remain in a wave Connected Yet far away All my brothers here today To sonic fathers we all hail Fortune mother splits our paths, but We shall return when she wants Natural law of valence Free to move by any force Bonding and dismantling Along time's course Spreading out All the way To gain wisdom Learn the fate Find the truth To push forward To find peace To the new And so Bloom, Brothers Change your ways Gain what's worth And come back To the same place
4.
Lyrics: Hey! ‘Cause you see, guys Those Dwellers, those truly amazing creatures They live all inside of us We just gotta let them go, just gotta embrace and let them out Oh yeah! So dance, dance my child Express yourself at all times! Stand for your feelings, stand for your love And rise, children, rise above all There ain’t much more to this life Than what we make in our time So fuck it all, do what you love Let’s hope we jam, once above So fuck it all, do what you love Let’s hope we jam, once above So fuck it all, do what you love Let’s hope we jam, once above

Johnny 07:18
Lyrics: Oh, Johnny, yeah You played with us, we smoked some hash, yeah Oh, Johnny boy You had to go You tried and helped us in our low Oh, Johnny, man The times we’ve missed you, ‘cause you’re our friend Oh, Johnny, man I hope this summer we’ll meet again Under the sun, now Or on a farm, now Under the sun, now Under sun Oh, Johnny boy I miss you so And all the fat joints that you rolled with us I miss your ass Oh, Johnny, yeah I miss your bald head But you’re always with us, ‘cause you’re our friend Oh, Johnny, man I hope that soon we’ll meet again Under the sky, now Under the sky, now Under the sky, now Under the sky, now Under sky

about

'List Do Borykan' is worth it for the opening jam of 'Space Dwellers, Episode 1'. That does not mean that song’s languid flow, silly stoned space-adventure spoken word narrative, and flashes of dub and psych and so on, are all that Poland’s The Howling Eye have to offer on their third full-length. It’s not. ~ JJ Koczan (The Obelisk)

Muzycy The Howling Eye grają z fantazją, nie trzymają się kurczowo ram jednego gatunku, swobodnie żonglując konwencjami. Równie dobrze odnajdziemy tu ducha Kyuss co Apteki. ~ Robert Filipowski, Teraz Rock (08/2023)

‘List Do Borykan’ is a cathartic journey through emotions in a world affected by greed and corruption. A tale of longing, grief and alienation, but also of self-love and brotherly bond. A cosmic epistle full of mysticism and futuristic dreams. As the chapters of the story progress, so does the musical scenery. Thunderous riffage and howling guitars intertwine with otherworldly textures and synthesized landscapes. Hypnotizing grooves induce a trance-like state, while the cosmic bard tells his tale…
